Project Detailer/Estimator (remote or in office)

Summary

The Door and Hardware Detailer/Estimator is responsible for quoting, pricing, and managing bids. They will also provide a complete submittal package as required by the contract.

Essential Functions

• Reviews plans and specifications for product quantities and details
• Provides accurate cost estimates for bid preparation
• Details doors, frames, and hardware in the preparation of shop drawings and submittals
• Evaluates vendor quotes for accuracy
• Ensures accuracy of product orders and compliance with drawings, specifications, and approved submittals and shop drawings
• Communicates effectively with internal and external customers both verbally and in writing
• Follow-up communication with all project stakeholders
• Communicate with the project manager to resolve product issues and delivery schedule issues
• Identifies and processes all changes orders
• Provide close-out documents as required
• Other duties, as needed
