Under the direction of the Parks & Community Services Director, provides leadership and manages the activities of the Park Planning Division. Positions in this classification oversee the Parks Planning Division budget, prepare capital budgets, and oversee the planning, design, and construction of major capital projects and renovations. Incumbents are also responsible for comprehensive park planning, coordinating the park master planning process, developing and implementing City policy regarding parks and open spaces, and implementing the City Council and community’s vision regarding parks and open spaces.
