								<description>Nationwide,  Summary The Door and Hardware Detailer/Estimator is responsible for quoting, pricing, and managing bids. They will also provide a complete submittal package as required by the contract. 
 Essential Functions 
 
 Reviews plans and specifications for product quantities and details 
 Provides accurate cost estimates for bid preparation 
 Details doors, frames, and hardware in the preparation of shop drawings and submittals 
 Evaluates vendor quotes for accuracy 
 Ensures accuracy of product orders and compliance with drawings, specifications, and approved submittals and shop drawings 
 Communicates effectively with internal and external customers both verbally and in writing 
 Follow-up communication with all project stakeholders 
 Communicate with the project manager to resolve product issues and delivery schedule issues 
 Identifies and processes all changes orders 
 Provide close-out documents as required 
 Other duties, as needed&#xa0; 
 Minimum Qualifications 
 
 Certificate or degree in construction engineering or construction management preferred, or equivalent experience 
 2-3 years in the commercial door and hardware industry 
 Proficient with computers and Microsoft applications, including but not limited to Excel, Word and Outlook 
 Effective time management skills 
 Must pass pre-employment drug screen and LiveScan background check

 Knowledge, Skills &#38; Abilities 
 
 Must be able to read and interpret construction contracts, blueprints, specifications and plans 
 Knowledge of door, frame and hardware applications as they relate to UL, fire code, building code, ADA, life safety related to the general commercial construction industry 
 Knowledge of electronic hardware 
 Must have excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills 
 Ability to multi-task and work well independently, as well as part of a team
