Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative (SMECO) has an immediate opening for a Civil Distribution Engineer Manager. The primary functions of this position will be to gather and qualify project design information for proposed residential subdivision and/or large-scale commercial developments. This position will coordinate with Land Developers, Homebuilders, and/or Owner’s civil engineering consulting firm to provide SMECO conduit plans for use by the Customer during site construction. This position has the responsibility of providing oversight and individual project construction timeframes to Distribution Engineering staff to properly evaluate electric service needs and design reliable extensions to the system.
