Job Description
About the Role:
Preparation and implementation of QA/QC policies and procedures.
Carry out audits for ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 and recommend the necessary corrective actions and measures.
Monitor policies and procedures and report any areas where improvement is required.
Assist the Project/Construction Managers in reviewing the contractorâ™s quality specific plans and produce recommendations.
Review project plans, drawings, and technical specifications to ensure they meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Ensure timely and effective resolution for QA or QC issues, in coordination with Construction Manager/Consultant/Department Head.
Perform daily inspection and test of all the scopes and character necessary to achieve the quality of construction required in the drawings and specifications for all works under the contract performed ON or OFF site.
Carry out inspection and checking for all quality related procedures at the site and ensure all activities at the site are executed as per approved method statement and inspection test plan.
Coordinate with the contractorâ™s representative and Site Engineer-in-charge for inspection and conduct meeting about related to quality problems including the closure of Non-Compliance Report.
Taking care of QA/QC documents of the entire project including certificates, calibrations, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instructions/observations, permanent materials delivered and other QA/QC documents. Responsible for the closure of Non-conformance, NCR and Site Instruction, SI.
Responsible for the quality and workmanship of every activity and must have thorough knowledge of all phases of engineering construction relating to Civil, Architectural and Structural discipline interfacing the multidisciplinary operations.
Develop method statement for the activity including risk assessment, job safety environmental analysis, Inspection Test Plan and Checklist based on specifications of the project.
Carry out Internal Audit at the site as scheduled in the Project Quality Plan, PQP.
Liaise with Contractorâ™s quality Engineer for submission of material submittals to Consultant.
Implement quality training programs for project teams and subcontractors to enhance awareness and adherence to quality standards.
Prepare and present quality performance reports and metrics to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualification Criteria
B.E Civil with 5 to 10 years of experience of QA/QC in construction industry
In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and quality control principles.
Technical awareness of Civil, MEP, HVAC, and Architectural works.
Excellent organizational and motivational skills.
Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve quality objectives.
Certification in Quality Management (e.g., Certified Quality Manager, Lean Six Sigma) is a plus.
