The Construction Manager will be responsible for the oversight of field operations and construction for assigned projects. The position will include management of the contractors work and ensure the quality and all requirements are met with respect to plans and specs as well as safety. It is the responsibility of the Construction Manager to ensure the work is being performed according to the project requirements.
Responsible for the enforcement of job site safety by doing site safety inspections, holding safety meetings, and developing and implementing safety procedures
Responsible for the supervision and productivity of all contractor personnel
Provides input and reviews construction cost reports, productivity and schedules
Promotes good labor relations at the field level.
Develop a plan of action to maintain schedule and within the budget.
Utilizes the most efficient construction methods available to maintain quality, improve productivity and control costs.
Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable project costs (C/O’s, EWO’s, etc.)
Develop project scopes of work
Review contractor invoices for accuracy and adherence to contract terms and conditions
Field coordination between facility and trades
