PROJECT MANAGER, Facilities Facilities-Campus Construction-Project Management Group, to provide operational management and support to all team members for Facilities' projects. Will be responsible for managing construction projects and meeting budget and deliverable schedules. The portfolio will consist of multiple small-to-mid-size projects with typical project scopes ranging from $100,000 to $10,000,000 or more.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management; at least five years' experience providing project management in an active, urban campus environment within occupied buildings; progressive experience managing multiple small-to-mid-size and complex design and construction projects simultaneously, meeting budget and deliverable schedules; experience managing project scope ranges from $100,000 to $10,000,000; full knowledge and understanding of relevant Massachusetts' building codes and regulations; excellent negotiation, organizational, problem-solving, interpersonal, and oral and written communications skills; and experience with project scheduling and Microsoft Office applications. Must be able to exercise judgment and independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation/modification of standard project management approaches; manage the complexity that is related to projects, including the design, construction, and consulting services involved in the renovation and new construction of classrooms, labs, offices, and residences and their targeted systems such as building envelope, elevators, fire protection, and electrical and HVAC systems; prepare budgets, schedules, and logistical graphic descriptions on how a project will be implemented; take ownership of and follow through on assignments; independently resolve complex issues, recognizing when to escalate before they are critical; make effective presentations and prepare written documents for internal stakeholders, customers, and/or approving authorities; and interact effectively with and persuade, influence, negotiate, and form alliances with a variety of peers and clients.
