A Class B CDL Truck Driver operates a straight-bed commercial motor vehicle, load and unload freight, perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Deliver merchandise to customers in a safe and courteous manner, always maintaining a professional attitude. Record daily hours following FMCA regulations. Comply with all DOT rules and regulations. Safely and legally operate a straight-bed commercial motor vehicle on a prescribed route within the state of Arkansas.
Provide excellent service to customers, report any customer issues, or needs or requests to supervisor.
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any problems or issue to supervisor daily.
Uses an electronic log to record daily hours of service following Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCA), state, and Company requirements.
Plan effectively trips using maps, GPS, written or verbal information to ensure efficient, legal, and on-time pickup and delivery.
Provide support to warehouse staff with inventory process.
May be required to construct and install meter loops at Vendor Managed Warehouses.
The ability to handle stress and work well with others are essential functions of this position.
In pursuant of the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Act 593, this position is a designated safety-sensitive position according to AECC/AECI standards and processes.
As a condition of employment, this position requires a post-offer fit for duty physical, background check, MVR review and pre-employment drug test.
Current and Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License
Current DOT Medical Certification
Registered with the DOT Clearinghouse
At least 21 years-old
Have a Safe Driving Record
Knowledge of All State and Federal DOT regulations that pertain to the operation of commercial motor vehicles.
Ability to work extra hours when necessary and report to work when needed during non-working periods.
Knowledge of freight manifests and shipping documents.
