Rolling Hills Country Club, located in Southwest Indiana, is seeking a replacement for a retiring Golf Course Superintendent of 28 years who will be responsible for all aspects of golf course and club grounds maintenance, agronomy, equipment, and staff. The Superintendent will have full financial management for all areas of responsibility and will report directly to the Club's Board of Directors. Job duties will include:
Overall responsibility for care and improvements of the Club's 18 hole championship golf course and practice facilities, including turf, bunkers and penalty areas, decorative plants, trees, and clubhouse landscape.
Effective communication and collaboration with the Board of Directors, Green Committee, and membership
Staff management, including training, supervision, and effective leadership
Expense and capital improvement management and budgeting with full P&L responsibility
Seasonal golf course improvement construction management
Full compliance with all personnel-related government regulations
Compliance with all governmental safety and environmental regulations
Accurate record keeping for all aspects of golf course and equipment maintenance
Management of the proper utilization and storage of all fertilizers and plant chemicals
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Turfgrass Management or related field
Prior experience as a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent
Comprehensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of the position
Experience in turf management in climates similar to the Club's
