The purpose of this position is to provide highly functional, healthy, safe, secure, and aesthetically pleasing community college facilities in support of the Virginia Community College System mission. This position needs to provide comprehensive higher-education and workforce-training programs and services of superior quality. The individual will provide project management and administration services for capital outlay, maintenance reserve, and non-capital construction projects at assigned community colleges. Also, they will need to administer the VCCS Facility Inventory Condition Assessment Program.

Substantial knowledge, skill, and ability in all aspects of capital outlay and construction project management. Extensive knowledge regarding the development and administration of contracts for architectural and engineering design, construction management, project administration, cost accounting building codes, environmental and regulatory requirements. Significant computer expertise with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and electronic procurement systems, computer-aided technologies, and various applications for facilities project management. Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Knowledge of conducting facility condition assessments.
